“Is the spring coming?” he said. “What is it like?”…
“It is the sun shining on the rain and the rain falling on the sunshine…
~Frances Hodgson Burnett, The Secret Garden
I was 1.5 years into an awesome, part time teaching position and I had to leave. St. Paul’s Lutheran School allowed me to get back into the classroom after a 10 year hiatas and I loved every minute.
People ask if I’m going to teach in Canada and I may, at some point, but not in the near future. Even though I miss being in the classroom, it’s been nice to have the full time stay at home mom status again. After all, I can drop Sophie off at school each morning in my pajamas.
I may not get a shower until 4 pm, but it’s nice to be home with the kids.
Now that Sophie is in public school, our days are a bit different. With only Elsa needing my teaching expertise, we get through her schoolwork quite quickly and can delve into some new activities like planning out our garden.
Incidentally, Elsa has been a real help during the day unpacking and organizing the house. The house is coming along quite nicely.
Here is Elsa…we realized she was dressed like an emoji 👯♀️👯♀️👯♀️👯♂️
As much as we want to plant our garden (especially Soren), we will have to start our seeds inside given the current weather.
As much as the sight of snow in April makes me ill, I will admit part of me enjoyed this spring storm as the kids finally had a chance to play and build a snowman. With that being said, it can all melt tomorrow. We have a garden to grow.
